| Prof. Shihua LiSoutheast University He is a Distinguished Professor (Level II) at Southeast University, serving as the Dean of the School of Automation. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), and a Fellow of the Asia-Pacific Artificial Intelligence Association (AAIA). He is also a recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. He serves as a Director of the Chinese Association of Automation (CAA) and a member of its Technical Committee on Control Theory. Additionally, he is the Chair of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society Nanjing Chapter and the Secretary-General of the Jiangsu Association of Automation. He has led and completed over forty research projects, with his research achievements generating significant economic benefits for enterprises. His research focuses on nonlinear control theory and its applications in electrical systems. This includes work on non-smooth control theory, disturbance observer-based control theory, and their applications in various types of electromechanical systems. |

Currently serves as a member of the Process Control Technical Committee of the Chinese Association of Automation and a member of the Predictive Control and Intelligent Decision-Making Technical Committee. Has led four projects under the National Natural Science Foundation of China, one sub-project under the National Key R&D Program, and participated in more than 10 research projects, including the National 863 Program. Has published over 100 papers in the IEEE Transactions series, obtained 36 Chinese invention patents and 2 U.S. invention patents, and secured 11 computer software copyrights. Research achievements have been awarded two First Prizes and three Second Prizes of the China Machinery Industry Science and Technology Award. Recognized as a Distinguished Teacher at Guangzhou University and an Outstanding Expert of Guangzhou City. Leads the Guangdong Provincial Innovation Team and serves as the Vice Chairman of the Guangdong Provincial Mechanical Engineering Society. Heads the key discipline of "High-End Equipment and Intelligent Manufacturing" under Guangdong's higher education initiative "Striving for First-Class, Strengthening Weaknesses, and Enhancing Distinctiveness." Has published over 80 papers indexed in SCI and EI, filed 10 Chinese patents with 6 granted, and authored the academic monograph Introduction to Engineering Applications of Model Predictive Control. Domestically, pioneered and systematically proposed the theory and methodology of dual-layer predictive control, designed a comprehensive technical roadmap for model predictive control software development, and developed an independently developed predictive control software platform. |
